Straßenbahnen kommen grundsätzlich nicht zu früh.
Es sei denn, man ist am Bahnsteig verabredet und etwas knapp dran.

Hi Mo-
Have you even thought about publishing your blog in German and English?
I use an online translation tool to read your blog…“Streetcars come basically not too early. Unless, one is arranged at the platform and somewhat tightly at it.“ Would you agree that everything gets lost in translation?
Love the blog. Thanks for keeping up with it.

Sorry. I should have read it before I submitted it:

I agree, absolutely everything gets lost in translation 😉
In English it would read something like „Trams never come too early. Unless you’re suppoesed to meet someone on the platform and are running a tad late.“
And that’s basically the answer to your other question: blogging in two languages wouldn’t really work for me. It’s not just a matter of translation, I would tell stories differently in English. There are entirely different idioms, plays on words (I use those a lot), phrases and so on.
I usually spend a lot of time of finding nice ways to formulate something and get the point across. it should be entertaining after all 😉 .
Two languages would be at least twice the work, and I doubt I’d find the energy for that.
Unfortunately.

‚Nuff said. I got ya. It’s a pity though as your English (and I assume your German ;)) is superb. Your wit will allude me on your written blog posts, so I will have to settle for watching your 8pm project (which, by the way, you must update…you have an audience! 🙂 )

Thanks for the compliment :).
Actually, I have to admit that in fact the thought starts to be more and more appealing to me. I may indeed do that Sometime In The FutureTM. But that will most likely be a seperate blog then, and I’ll mostly resort to the „side note“ sort of posts. Mostly.
I’ll have to see. 😉
As for updating the 8pm stuff: just did that.
I may from time to time be a few days behind, especially when I’m on the road a lot. Please bear with me 😉
